Hot Chamber vs. Cold Chamber Die Casting Process

Dynacast offers two primary die-casting methods: the hot chamber and cold chamber processes. The hot chamber die casting process uses a molten metal supply directly connected to the die-casting machine, making it ideal for metals with low melting points, such as zinc and magnesium, and enabling faster production rates. In contrast, the cold chamber die casting process involves manually pouring molten metal into the machine from an external furnace, making it suitable for metals with higher melting points, such as aluminum, to ensure more precise control over the casting process.
