The L16 camera uses breakthrough optics design with the most advanced imaging engine ever created to give users the control of a DSLR with the convenience of a smartphone. With many cameras firing simultaneously, the L16 captures the details of your shot at multiple focal lengths, and then fuses that information to create an incredible image with up to 52MP resolution.
Light’s intricate part design is so complex that prior to finding Dynacast, Light worked with a manufacturer that CNC machined each part generating very high part costs. The team at Light knew there had to be other options and searched for another manufacturer capable of meeting their strict requirements and began partnering with Dynacast.
Dynacast Dongguan’s capability to black anodize aluminum set us apart from any other die casting company. Since there are strict light limitations inside the camera, a matte black finish was necessary for the final product, which Dynacast was able to provide. The outside of the camera is finished with a class-A cosmetic paint providing style and functionality. Light’s L16 chassis is one of the most intricate and complex part designs that Dynacast has worked with. It took both teams months to perfect the tool design that could create the part in high volumes without part variation.
